Online and In-Person Accredited Massage Therapy Continuing Education

RMT's and other Practitioners are required to take Continuing Education Courses to maintain their accreditation.

 

We offer In-Person workshops and classes to help you maintain your accreditation and develop the skills necessary to keep your knowledge and skills up to date.

Professionals most suited to our courses and workshops are: Massage Therapists, Sports Therapists, Physiotherapists, Health Professionals, but all are welcome to attend.

Back Massage
Head, Neck & Shoulders

Course Instructor: Les Cryer

Length of Course: 7 Hours

Price: $599 + gst

This course is designed to demonstrate massage techniques to be used on the head, neck and shoulder areas to help resolve tension, assist in treatment on T.M.J., T.O.S., Wry Neck Migraines, and Headaches, etc.  Practical application will be supported by theoretical instruction. Class participation and hands-on practical application will be utilised throughout the course, so students must be dressed appropriately and be prepared to work on each other. Students will be divided into two groups for practical purposes. One group will preform treatment while the other will receive treatment, then roles will be reversed. Note taking for personal clarification is recommended. Diagrammatical hand outs will be provided. Q & A is encouraged so that on completion students will be able to apply these techniques in their future treatments. Having gained practical and theoretical knowledge in the benefits and contradictions of aforementioned methods.

Physiotherapy
Assisted/Facilitated Stretching

Course Instructor: Les Cryer

Length of Course: One Day

This one day course outlines the principles and practices of facilitated stretching which can be beneficial in rehabilitation, general health and well being , muscle development athletes etc. Techniques will include both active and passive stretching involving safe and effective methods. Class participation and hands on practical application will be utilized throughout the course so student must be dressed appropriately and be prepared to work on each other. The course will involve practical work on muscle groups in the lower and upper body. Practical work will be supported by theory and lectures on the techniques being taught.
