First Time Client

Here's how your first visit will look

If you are new to our clinic or new to massage in general, we are here to help you step by step in

what to expect so that you can relax and enjoy the experience.

1

Arrival

We ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your treatment. This will give you time to relax and carefully fill out our New Client Form. This is a brief health history form that allows us to better understand your needs. If you have any Benefit plans the receptionist will take your card and set that up for you while you enjoy your massage.

Starting the session

Once the forms have been full out and handed back to reception, your RMT (Registered Massage Therapist) will take you into the treatment room. There they will discuss with you your health history and what your expectations are throughout the sessions, i.e massage pressure - light, firm or deep, volume of music (if any) and brightness of the room.

Your RMT will then leave the room and allow you to get undressed (undress to your comfort) The will give you a few minutes to undress. and get ready.

3

Helpful note:

Undress to your comfort, having you relaxed and as comfortable as you can be is top priority. Some people remove all items of clothing, whereas others will leave undergarments on, the choice is yours. Once you are ready you can lay on the bed, cover yourself with the linens and wait for the therapist to knock on the door.

During the treatment

4

All tables are equipped with a soft heated pad for added comfort. You will remain covered at all times except the area of the body the RMT is working on.

Your therapist will ask if the pressure of the massage is ok, this will give you

time to modify pressure if needed. There will be relaxing music played

through the whole massage (unless you choose not to have it) and

conversation will be left to your discretion.

Once your massage is completed, your therapist will let you know and then

they will leave the room, giving you privacy to get dressed. Once you are

ready, open the door to signal to the RMT that you are ready for them to

re-enter.

The massage therapist will then ask how you feel and give further advice on home care and stretching techniques if needed. They will answer any questions you may have, they will then walk with you to the reception area where you can book your next appointment. Once at reception, a glass of water will be provided to you.

If you have benefits, the receptionist will inform you of the payment plan and process for you.
